Choosing a surgeon is the decision that matters most
More than the hospital, more than the city, more than the price. Two surgeons performing the same operation on the same knee can produce meaningfully different results, and the variable is how many of that operation they do.
This is why we match rather than assign. A surgeon whose week is built around knee arthroplasty is a different proposition from a general orthopedic surgeon who performs a few a year — and the difference shows up in the revision rate a decade later.

You are entitled to ask for a surgeon's curriculum vitae, and to receive it. We encourage patients to take an active role in this rather than deferring — the questions above are the ones that separate providers, and asking them costs nothing.
How the network was built
The surgeons we work with were selected on caseload, credentials and outcomes, and they practise to standards comparable to their counterparts in the United States. Several completed additional training there.
They are also, deliberately, a small group. A network large enough to always have someone available is a network that has stopped selecting.
